The Kansas State Pupil Transportation Association was formed in 1970 by a forward looking group of dedicated school transportation professionals. It was formed to enhance and ensure the safety of students transported via school bus in Kansas. To this end, the organization is still dedicated.
Mission KSPTA is an organization for pupil transportation providers who recognize that development and improvement are fostered by continuing education. Membership Membership will consist of those who are or have been employees of schools and school bus contractors and whose responsibilities or duties include any aspect of pupil transportation. Individual membership is $25 per person. Purpose The primary function of KSPTA is the support of education in Kansas through the provision of safe and effective pupil transportation services. KSPTA is active in many facets of transportation including Safe Driver Competitions, School Bus Safety Week, Kansas School Transportation Appreciation Day, School Bus Poster Safety Contest, Annual School Transportation Safety Conference, Train-the-School Bus Trainer program, and many other projects.
